The Youth of Today !!
At long last the re-incarnation of youth football at Liverton United has taken place, and the new club is now proud to report that it can provide the nations favorite sport for children, between the ages of 5 and 9 years old.
New youth team manager Steve Harris runs training sessions on Monday evenings for both boys and girls within the age range , providing happy , healthy and safe fun for the youngsters.
Steve is assisted by his wife Rachel, and by Coaches and fellow Dads' Mike Wills and Glen Grant.
Liverton Youth are pleased to anounce that the club has recently been accepted into the Pioneer Youth League at both under 10's and under 8's level. and is very much looking forward to the coming season ' back in the big time '
Steve Whose footballing life originated in Hampshire then Oxfordshire, tries to ensure that the atmosphere and ethos of the youth section is friendly and fun, and with attendance numbers expanding weekly the children obviously feel that this is very much the case.having completed both the football Association Child Protection and Emergency First Aid courses this summer and soon to be embarking on his FA coaching certificate, Steve is creating a welcoming and secure environment, enabling the children to enjoy their football freely.
The 2008/9 Pioneer Youth League season kicks off Sunday 7th September and with the fixture list being compiled in August it promises to be an exciting and eventful first few months. Local businesses British Ceramic Tiles and Gregory Distribution have kindly come forward with donations to provide the kit sponsourship for the two teeams, and whilst the under 8's season is of a non-competetive structure, both teams will look the business in their new Liverton Strips.
